The Cloud Business Operations team in Business Planning serves as the center of launch excellence for Microsoftâs commercial business. We are looking for a talented manager to lead a growing team responsible for the continuous improvement of our time to market and adherence to launch policies and compliance. This is a high visibility role with stakeholders at senior levels across multiple Microsoft organizations.
Responsibilities
As Director of Business Planning for the Cloud Business Operations team, you will demonstrate Microsoft management excellence by modeling the Microsoft values, coaching your collective and individual team members and caring about their success. You will create an inclusive work environment where everyone can do their best work. You will inspire your team to plan and execute for the future the business needs and streamline our launch processes with a focus on consistency and compliance. You will take personal ownership and accountability for launch excellence, while bringing all stakeholders along on the journey.
Responsibilities:
- Support a diverse and inclusive team culture and attract, retain and grow operations talent
- Adhere to the Microsoft management expectations of model, coach and care
- Model the Microsoft values of respect, integrity and accountability
- Champion operational excellence across multiple organizations and levels of seniority
- Lead data-driven decisions to streamline and tighten processes to accelerate time to market
- Mentor team members to continually learn, refine, and improve our launch methods and processes
- Own accountability for best-in-class launch compliance processes across the commercial portfolio
- Partner with business planning, MBO, engineering, finance and other teams for a shared vision of success
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Prior people management experience along with a deep passion for coaching, mentoring and guiding individuals and teams.
- Proven excellent communication and leadership skills across all levels of seniority
- A track record of delivering results while partnering successfully across diverse stakeholders for a shared vision
- A minimum of ten years in operations, business planning, finance or product marketing required
- A BS/BA degree or equalivant work experience; MBA preferred
