Katherine Frank Creative is a boutique creative agency specialized in the exhibit/trade show industry. We have 25-years’ experience working with clients and servicing their trade show and event needs. We are looking to bring an additional creative designer/project manager in to our creative department. Please find a description of responsibilities and skills required below:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with Account Executives to define project requirements/vision
- Translate requirements/vision to our Industrial Designers within 24 hours of conceptual meeting with Account Executive to generate creative 3D rendering concepts. A request to discuss over the phone with the designer must be made by the Senior Designer/Project Manager.
- Renderings must be turned around to the Account Executive within 5-10 business days from initial request to Industrial Designer.
- Design should be led by Project Manager with Designer to stay within budgets, due dates and design requirements for each project.
- Integrate system and custom elements into purchase and rental projects ranging from small inline exhibits to very large custom island exhibits, and point of purchase displays.
- Partner and take a lead role with Account Executives on client RFP’s. Responsibilities include design and presentation of project scope/supplemental conceptual renderings, as well as providing the Account Executives with the design details and vision so they can effectively pitch the design to prospective clients.
- Stay up to date on knowledge of booth construction and industry trends. A focus on retaining vendor partnerships and developing new vendor partnerships for the benefit of Katherine Frank’s design and construction on future projects.
- Responsible for communicating with vendor partners when estimating design component production. Must work with other departments (sales, creative, and show services) in order to produce the designs in a way that will not only meet the client’s expectation, but to be able to be set up efficiently on a trade show floor or in an event setting.
- Must keep up with past and current design trends in multiple areas and showcase them in appropriate projects.
- Assist with internal design department goals and objectives.

- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills; superior verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diverse materials and components available for production.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead multiple projects at one time.
- Superior vendor partner management skills.
- Ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment, juggling multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Familiarity with the latest Creative Suite (Photoshop /Illustrator/In-Design) and Apple IOS/hardware.
- Can work independently on all projects both small and large.
- Creative out of the box thinking, customer-centric and a strong communicator.
- Has an exceptional knowledge but still actively learns about and applies new design trends and skills to day to day activities.
- Be able to assess designs and know when to scale back as needed and come up with alternate solutions as necessary in order to stay within project budget parameters.
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance and knowledge about design.
