    Bobtail Capital is a rapidly growing logistics finance company passionate about helping small businesses in the logistics industry succeed. We are looking for an integral member of the team as we continue to grow and release new products.

    A Collections Manager at Bobtail will be managing the underwriting of new clients, working with account managers to manage client balances, and work with the collections department to manage the outstanding aging. You will be responsible for making sure collections and outstanding balances remain within target benchmarks and managing the teams that do that. You will play a pivotal role in our success and growth and your feedback and input will be a welcome part of our new products and processes.

    Specifically, as a Collections Manager, your responsibilities will to be to:

    • Manage a portfolio of accounts receivables and aging of over $10MM
    • Maintain benchmarks for outstanding aging and client balances
    • Be able to understand client account issues and make critical account decisions
    • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
    • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
    • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
    • Recruit, train and supervise staff
    • Mentor team members on how to improve their work
    • Implement best practices across all levels
    • Provide feedback on how to improve and streamline processes
    • Experience in logistics preferred

    Required Skills:

    • Proven work experience in accounting and collections
    • Familiarity with business and financial principles
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Leadership ability
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Degree in Accounting, Business, or some related field
    • Attention to detail
    • Preferred bilingual (Spanish/English)
