Do you have outstanding cash management experience and want to join a stable organization? HR Answers is seeking a Cash Manager with a Portland, OR client for a temporary part-time project work thru July 1, 2020.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Manage and monitor daily cash management transactions, report cash operation activities and execute transfers, payments, and investments. Ensure adequate liquidity to meet short term cash needs of the organization and invest accordingly to maximize portfolio returns while remaining in compliance with organizational policy and ORS guidelines. Report on investments monthly, quarterly, and annually. Coordinate electronic payments; monitor accounts for fraud; monitor transactions for policy compliance; act as a liaison between the organization Port and bankers; monitor debt payments, verify accuracy and compliance with covenants.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make sure the organization has liquidity in the bank checking account to meet daily cash needs.
  • Process wires, ACH and Positive Pay files through the bank
  • Search for, select and record in the investment software new investments based on the organization’s Investment Policy.
  • Complete the quarterly Commission report.
  • Provide monthly investment yields on the organization’s investment portfolio to others in FAR for prior month at the beginning of each month.
  • Take care of infrequent, misc. requests related to commercial banking and merchant accounts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis on finance, investments
  • Minimum 5 years directly related experience, i.e. management of cash and investment portfolios
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and statistics
  • Public sector experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Oregon Revised Statutes (pertinent to the position) preferred
  • Familiarity with on-line cash/bank management systems
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office

Wage is DOE/E. This is a part-time job Monday thru Friday – hours TBD.
