Required Education:
Master’s Degree Business, Finance or other related field
Required Experience:
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and accounts payable within a complex organization.
Preferred Experience:
Progressive leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and accounts payable within Higher Education.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
A strong strategic and business understanding of how procurement and accounts payables processes enable organizations to meet overall business objectives. Demonstrated proficiency in the management of procurement and accounts payable programs and services. Significant knowledge of current procurement and payables trends, standards, management principles and methodologies. Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain a strategic procurement plan linked to a budget with savings and performance goals. Understands the linkage between P2P and accounting in the general ledger and how procurement savings flow through the budget and annual operating expenses. Experience with development and assessment of internal control processes and procedures, and system integration including, planning, evaluation and implementation. Demonstrate leadership to guide, motivate and direct team members Strong knowledge of and experience with automated eProcurement and Accounts Payable systems such as Jaggaer and Peoplesoft. Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills that can be leveraged in dealings with vendors, University departments and leadership, strategic partners as well as cross-functionally across the organization. Must possess strong analytical skills, exhibit a strong business orientation, and a demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, and implement organizational initiatives.
