Parexel has established our Patient Innovation Center, which includes a dedicated team striving to build on Parexel’s mission to reduce patient burden and simplify their journey to new treatments. Our services incorporate patient input into all aspects of clinical development: clinical trial design, recruitment, and execution. We engage with patients while helping our clients design trials and programs that will demonstrate improved patient outcomes, and we help to communicate this added value through market access. Throughout our work, we enable patients to be fully engaged and invested in the success of clinical development and beyond through to market.

The Associate Director, Patient Innovation Center position is a unique role at Parexel.In this role, s/he will have the opportunity to innovate and take the impossible and make it possible in order to improve the patient’s clinical trial experience and his/her outcomes.To accomplish this, the Associate Director, Patient Innovation Center will provide and oversee delivery of virtual trial and patient engagement projects for the Patient Innovation Center (PIC).S/he will work to secure new business, build and deploy new tools and services, ensure excellent performance against business and project goals, build strong internal and external relationships, and support marketing activities.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a full workload across multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (including experience in making presentations at conferences, meetings, training sessions).
  • Client-focused approach to work
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
  • Passion for improving the patient experience in clinical trials
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
  • Adapts approach and prioritizes activities, as necessary, to deal with uncertainty and change
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant clinical research role e.g. project leadership, sales, patient recruitment, virtual trials


Education:

  • Educated to degree level (biological science, pharma or other health related discipline preferred) or relevant clinical or business equivalent.
