The Analytics Organization works with business leaders across the enterprise to drive optimized strategy using data. The Analytics Scrum Master works closely with key members of the Analytics teams to efficiently deliver results across multiple sets of stakeholders. You are passionate about driving business value with analytics, and helping a team transform its operating model and track progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Chief Product Owner and Product owners with backlog grooming
Facilitate sprint planning, Kanban/Board management, and sprint reviews
Ensure cross-team coordination
Work with business and other IS groups for impediment removal
Develop/maintain metrics that help the team see how they are doing (i.e. backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition)
Act as liaison between business partners, IS partners and Analytics team members
Foster improved communication between the functions
Act as a project manager when necessary, as the Analytics team moves from a waterfall to an Agile operating model
Ensure the team is functional and productive, helping self-forming teams keep each other accountable
Develop team understanding of common Agile practices and better development practices
Develop team understanding of incremental delivery, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Shares knowledge, coach and mentor
May eventually serve as technical lead in the area of expertise
May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of others
Excellent communication and relationship skills, both in directing the technical team and updating leadership
QUALIFICATIONS:
General:
Having a working understanding of:
fundamentals of iterative development in an Agile Framework
general software development processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
Agile/SCRUM values and manifesto
incremental delivery and the value of metrics
backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
Advanced ability to act as servant leader cross-functional teams and drive work to completion
Demonstrated experience managing and delivering projects in a corporate environment
Advanced leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentations and negotiations with Senior IT and Business leaders
Demonstrated ability to craft and present clear, concise and convincing messages appropriately targeted to the specific audience
Specific:
Desired: Data Science and Business Intelligence experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate status and issues effectively both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization
Expert Level skill of using Agile enabling tools such as Jira, Kanban Boards, LeanKit
General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office
Advanced knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of MS Teams (or Slack), SharePoint and Visio required
Bachelorâs degree in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent working experience)
SCRUM Master Certification Required
5+ years of previous project management experience in corporate environment required
2-4 years of managing product deliveries in Agile Environment, including proficiency in SCRUM rituals and tools
