Role:
Direct and manage, at a strategic level, the activities of the Information Technology department. Responsible for defining, developing, and delivering a technology strategy that supports the goals of the organization while providing oversight of an infrastructure that considers security, service standards, and the investments necessary to increase productivity, efficiency, value, and competitiveness.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Provides strategic oversight and directs all aspects of the information technology efforts of Envista. Ensure technology is operating efficiently and reliably, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and are performing at a high level.
20% Oversees the management of Envista’s information systems to ensure that member account information is secure, accessible, accurately processed/reported, and that legal and regulatory compliance is maintained. These efforts include adequate disaster recovery and business continuity efforts are in place to restore
critical systems and operations.
20% Ensures that appropriate IT governance processes are in place and provides appropriate prioritization or the IT team.
15% Ensure the appropriate allocation of IT resources. Act as an internal consultant between IT and other departments (researching trends, scouting third party options, business case development, transparency in project cost and prioritization, proactive vendor management).
10% Directs, develops, motivates, hires and disciplines department staff; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions. Ensures effective, efficient work groups with appropriate knowledge, authority and responsibility to carry out assigned functions. Develop the technical, supervisory, and leadership skills of subordinates as appropriate. To manage all staff training and development as it relates to Information Technology.
5% Participates in committees/working groups as assigned.
5% Represents Envista at various civic, professional, political and community functions to develop productive business relationships.
5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience with at least 3 – 5 years of executive leadership of an IT Department.
Education
A college degree.
Other Skills
1. Thorough knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development.
2. Previous financial institution experience preferred
3. Must have excellent resource management, project planning, and communication skills.
4. Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
