As a VP, National Sales Manager you’ll be responsible for nurturing strategic partnerships with our retail partners as well as identifying new commercial opportunities, preferably you have experience with SEPHORA, ULTA, SAKS, Neiman Marcus, and Luxury Spa/Resort Doors.

You’ll have a forward-thinking mindset that allows you to push boundaries and build game-changing cross-functional relationships. You will have proven experience working as an independent National Account Manager; will be highly numbers and results-driven, commercially savvy, keen to find creative solutions to challenges and passionate about working in the beauty industry.

Key Tasks

  • Establish and maintain relationships at all levels within the designated accounts, including Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing, departments.
  • Conduct successful commercial negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, space and location, in-store visibility, and support with Buying and Merchandising teams

Driving Performance (Retail, Net and Profit)

  • Ensure a top-line and detailed understanding of retail context, category and individual store performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic needs
  • Build and deliver against a retail sales target (within budget expectations)
  • Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximize opportunities across retailers
  • Monitor, manage, and optimize net sales performance
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for core lines, and proactive inventory and assortment management, with close collaboration with Client Service, Product Development and Operations teams
  • Own all net sales forecasting for defined retailers, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner
  • Manage each account P&L, balancing investment with top-line opportunity; monitor retailer profit contribution and achieve agreed profit
  • Initiate weekly conference calls with Client Service & Operations teams and monthly meetings to review all business opportunities and results
  • Work with Client Service to provide weekly account business recaps and monthly reporting that details sell-thru by SKU, ranking, productivity, stock & sales and competitive analysis

Cross-Functional Working

  • Build strong working relationships with the entire Soleil team, utilizing insight from the field
  • Work closely with management to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering activation of key launches and marketing activations, events, considering both customer acquisition and retention. Review implementation and performance or annual strategy vs expectations on a regular basis
  • For new and existing distribution, build a bespoke plan to launch and acheive #1 ranking
  • Responsible for reviewing product assortment & sales to maximize productivity and sell-through at each retailer

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to CEO & COO

You will manage two client service representatives and work closely with Management and Operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4 years experience in a National Accounts Manager level
  • IT skills -Google docs, sheets, slides, NetSuite, SalesForce
  • Communication skills – keep all stakeholders informed on all the important issues. Ensure all communications are concise, clear and convincing. Personable and approachable; able to build rapport quickly
  • Business Acumen – See the bigger business issues for both the retailer and for Soleil Toujours. Quantify the business plan and be aware of impact across other accounts and on other teams.

Salary: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
