Position Summary
The Vice President, Global Channel &SI will be tasked with developing a partner-led sales strategy and culture, executing that strategy in collaboration with other lines of business and their leaders. This role will be responsible for leading global expansion of Ivantiâs Channel team, including establishing relationships with new partners, growing existing partners, and ensuring the success of integrations. This person will play a key role in helping to establish the strategy and to also drive execution activities on bringing our new products to market.
Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of the Vice President, Global Channel &SI are to lead a team and work directly with partners to build sales skills, increase number of partner sellers, develop sales pipeline, and to work effectively across functions with other Ivanti employees to build partnerships with our VADs, VARs and OEM partners.
- Demonstrate leadership and initiative to set a vision and drive the Ivanti team and partner network
- Create a uniform and consistent approach to programmatically identify, target, and recruit global, national and regional partners that align with the companyâs overall goals and objectives.
- Grow and maintain a sales channel made up primarily of Value-Added Resellers, systems integrators and strategic partners from which most sales orders are fulfilled.
- Manage top deals and very important clients within territories. Build and nurture C-level relationships across top partners.
- Work closely with sales leadership on development and execution of a sales strategy; adhere to available resources and district sales objectives.
- Plan and direct channel activities including implementing forecasts, marketing program development, relationship development, customer satisfaction and collateral material development and distribution.
- Create sales team alignment between partners and Ivanti account teams
- Establish short-term and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Provide coaching and management oversight to the Ivanti and partner sales teams to help them drive their sales strategy and goal attainment.
- Identify needed resources for supporting sales strategy and develop a proposed budget for management review.
- Develop a budget to support the enablement, marketing and promotion of the partner business plans
Job Requirements
- 10-15 years hands on experience with significant sales experience in a technology organization.
- A history of successfully developing and leading multiple strategic partnerships and driving repeatable solutions, technical wins, and / or practice wins.
- Proven track record of closing strategic partnerships and transactions.
- International experience in managing and growing business in both developing and mature markets.
- Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
- Ability to view the business with a partner perspective while maintaining a focus on what it Best for Ivanti and its customers
- Ability to understand and influence selling cultures globally, and drive partner initiatives on a regional level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
- Extensive experience presenting to and negotiating with senior level management (internal and external).
Travel: ~50%
Education & Experience
- 8 to 12 years of leadership experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree; or related field is preferred
