Space Planning Project Manager

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Facilities Planning, the Space Planning Project Manager is responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of assigned projects, including the coordination and management of in house staff and outside contractors. Responsible for assisting with the design (from early inception through Construction Documents), plan preparation using CAD software, departmental planning, program preparation, budget preparation, meeting with user groups, bidding and awarding the work to contractors as required, coordination of the work with the active hospital operations, managing the budget and project schedule to ensure a timely completion, and overseeing the startup of the new space.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction/ Architecture or equivalent experience. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of planning and construction related experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Construction supervisory experience is required. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of construction terminology and computer experience. Required computer skills: Word for Windows, Excel, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
