This individual will support our Industrial Hygiene group and clients managing asbestos, mold, indoor air quality projects and some potential with working environmental due diligence and additional projects as needed.
Your Responsibilities as a Project Manager:
- Manage a diverse, high volume portfolio of industrial hygiene and environmental projects.

Write and review technical reports and proposals in addition to work plans for junior staff.
- Prepare client specific technical reports including individual sampling event reports, annual summary reports, employee notification letters, qualitative assessments, etc.
- Prepare proposals, develop project work scope, and manage project budgets.
- Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
- Support execution of industrial hygiene sampling plans through completion of personnel and area sampling
- Mentor and train industrial hygiene and safety staff and ensure quality work product.
- Ensure safe performance of project work.
- Provide regular status updates to client site contacts and stakeholders, as well as Apex.
- Actively source for new business opportunities.
- Hire and manage subcontractors.

Minimum Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- BA/BS in Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field
- 5 – 10 years of solid technical experience.
NYS Asbestos certification required and NYC Asbestos Investigator certification strongly desired (open to candidates that are eligible to obtain NYC Asbestos Investigator license)
NYS Mold Assessor license- NY Project Monitor and Lead Inspector license preferred
- Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Highly effective team player and collaborator. Strong comfort working in a matrix environment and leveraging expertise across functions. This may include participating in agile teams focused on creating value for the business
- Ability to mentor and train staff.
- Effective multi-tasker, able to manage and meet conflicting priorities
- Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Experience with Deltek Vision is highly desired.
