Project Manager

Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to lead project teams in support of the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

Lead a team on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects. Analyze new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. Interact heavily with the government management and the end user to identify business needs and recommend technical solutions. Provide applications systems analysis and programming activities. Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities. Identify resources necessary, assign tasks to team, and monitor progress. Oversee all aspects of the project life cycle. Coordinate day-to-day project management and oversight with next level management and/or technical leads. Provide quality assurance oversight to work items, processes, and deliverables. Enforce change management principles for task. Maintain project management documentation and apply project management best practices throughout all project phases. Promote and emphasize continuous process improvement and operating efficiency.

15+ years experience including at least 5 years experience as a project manager supporting DoD programs. Master’s or graduate degree in a related field. PMP or similar project management certifications a plus. Must have a background in leading technical tasks and performing project management functions according to the complete project life cycle. Must be able to work closely with technical teams and government program managers with equal efficiency. Experience with MS Project or similar tool. Knowledge of earned value management and analysis a plus. Must be highly motivated and assertive. Excellent communication skills, proactive management style, and the ability to manage customer and other stakeholder expectations. Must be a US citizen.
