The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing strategy and executing programs to drive new accounts and revenue growth for Vetsource as we expand our footprint with Veterinary Practices and animal health marketplace. Essential Duties:
Manage brand identity and messaging
- Align brand identity with overall business goals and objectives
- Develop and drive brand architecture and ensure consistency in messaging across all touchpoints
- Leverage primary and secondary research to measure brand resonance and inform in-market work
- Work with agency partners to evolve the visual system and design language, as necessary
Develop and drive the commercialization strategy
- Develop and execute marketing and customer communications plans for existing services for B2B and B2C audiences to achieve new account and revenue growth
- Develop and execute launch plans for all products/services and new brands as they are added to our portfolio of companies
- Ensure on-time delivery and execution of all commercialization materials
- Work cross-functionally with sales and product development to ensure execution of the commercialization plan
Own and deliver financial results
- Develop and drive overall marketing strategies to deliver the revenue and margin goals while delivering +35% YoY growth rates
- Own and grow veterinary client communication platform to accelerate the growth of > $25M while optimizing promotional spend to improve margin and profitability
- Participate with product management teams to unlock revenue opportunities
Lead and drive cross-functional teams
- Establish a connection and proactively communicate with other leaders across Sales, Account Management, Technology, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance
- Work closely with product development and engineering teams on new products and develop the marketing story and communications for all product/service lines.

Team leadership and development
- Lead a team of ~ 10 with 3 direct reports
- Define job responsibilities, performance criteria, and structure of the team
- Review and guide the work product ensuring the delivery of high-quality work that is on-brand, on time, and drive results
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and coaching/development with direct reports and team members as needed
- Establish and develop team culture and engagement
- Hire, train, develop team members as needed
- Manage agency and other vendor partners to deliver campaigns and commercialization materials that align with strategic growth and brand objectives
General Requirements
- Develop and manage annual budgets in support of business goals and defined Marketing Strategy
- Brainstorm, validate, test and refine customer acquisition and growth initiatives utilizing A/B split testing to ensure ongoing improvements
- Experience working in collaborative, open workplace culture with an emphasis on transparency
- Clear communicator and a good listener, comfortable advising and collaborating with senior management teams

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing programs and channel operations (e.g. CRM/Marketing Automation, paid social)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, MBA preferred
- Experience in use-based and SAS-based business models
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product development, engineering, and other disciplines
- Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire teams
- Ability to be hands-on, and work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last-minute requests and quick turnarounds with a positive attitude
- Exhibit a willingness to consistently take on new challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear, calm, and concise manner

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct management of staff including hiring, performance reviews, and goal setting.
- Provide the Marketing Team with feedback regarding performance metrics to include corrective action if necessary.
- Responsible for coaching, training, mentoring and motivating the team.
- Experience in Healthcare or Animal Health is a plus
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, MBA preferred
- 12+ years marketing/management and leadership experience within B2B and B2C
- Experience bringing products/services to market with revenue of over $150M
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Automation tools (e.g. SFDC)
