As the Director, Learning and Innovation, you will lead the teams responsible for existing product management and new product development. Our existing portfolio includes in-person, virtual, and self-paced trainings and performance support tools on topics ranging from unconscious bias to inclusive leadership, and we’re actively expanding the variety of products and services we can deliver. In addition to ensuring these offerings maintain the same level of excellence our clients have come to expect, you’ll help set the direction for what is next—in training and beyond.

Responsibilities:In this role the ideal candidate will:

  • Actively serve on the Cook Ross Leadership Team, providing input into the strategic direction of the organization through the L&I lens, and communicating key company priorities with the team to integrate within the L&I Team efforts.
  • Oversee the management of learning products and services within the Existing Product Portfolio (EPP)
  • Oversee new products and services development and advanced customization of client requests within the Innovation Lab (IL)
  • Build, implement, and manage controls to ensure that the design, development, and customization of all products and services (new and existing) aligns with client needs and expectations, while accomplishing the company goals
  • Establish a system to monitor industry and consumer trends that would inform innovation.
  • Actively engage in cross-functional collaboration to enhance systems and processes that would drive efficiencies, client service excellence, and team engagement
  • Create and implement a system to leverage the experience and expertise of the consulting team to assess client trends, experiences and feedback to enhance our product and service offerings
  • Manage the allocation of work to L&I resources through system monitoring and reporting to ensure high quality and to achieve company revenue goals
  • Develop and support processes for project prioritization, capacity management, and reporting
  • Establish and monitor departmental goals and align individual objectives on an annual basis
  • Maximize team performance through an effective team approach that increases productivity and job satisfaction
  • Evaluate employees’ performance and provide feedback on areas of strength and opportunities to support their personal and professional development
  • Establish and manage L&I department budget
  • Develop and implement management controls of vendor and partner relationships, ensuring high quality standards and diversity.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of learning & development experience with expertise in instructional design
  • 5+ years of experience in creating high-quality products and services in the field of Diversity & Inclusion
  • 4+ years of leading and managing direct reports & or team leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of organizational design and change management concepts, tools and methods
  • Advanced skills in instructional design tools, an technology with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Business acumen, professionalism, strategic thinker; ability to develop and articulate the value proposition of a new strategy, process or program
  • Proven ability to integrate and align strategy, people and activities across functions, processes and teams
  • Practical experience providing coaching and development, as well as facilitation
  • Avid attention to detail, and strong project planning and management skills
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects and meet aggressive timelines
  • Independent and self-directed leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
