As a Business Operations member in the Consumer Products Group (CPG) at Micron, you will be responsible for customer sample coordination, part number creation and maintenance, customer requirements table management, configure to order execution, as well as inventory management. Other responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data as it relates to business operations, tracking performance on established metrics, and generating business focused reports. You will work closely with Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing Planning, Demand Management and Sales Operations providing business unit support and guidance.

In this role your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinating direction of appropriate material to designated customers by working with Product/System Engineering, Core Team Leaders, Manufacturing Planning, and Order Fulfillment
  • Monitoring and validating forecasts entered by the Sales teams
  • Ensuring supply availability for promotional activity planned with channel partners
  • Tracking qualification and transition progress of new SSD Programs, designs, or die shrinks.
  • Communicating engineering sample schedules for customer orders and availability with internal teams
  • Making priority customer support decisions when early sample availability is limited.
  • Collaborating with Marketing on PCN (Product Change Notification) creations and communication to external customers
  • Providing analysis on Current Quarter ad next quarter metrics
  • Creating and maintaining of reports or spreadsheets to track current quarter metrics on SSD related product lines.
  • Providing analysis and direction on key business decisions within the manufacturing planning process to ensure the correct product is built for the customers that we planned to support.
  • Interfacing with Sales Operations and other cross functional groups to identify and understand any potential and existing business problems.
  • Where necessary, developing reports to reflect business or product trends within assigned accounts for review by Sales and BU Management.
  • Determining alternative solutions based on available infrastructure and resources.
  • Summarizing conclusions and recommending course of action.
  • Material level systems integrity
  • SAP part number creation and life cycle maintenance
  • Inventory Management, including strategic buffers
  • Working with supply chain and inventory teams to identify pockets of growing inventory and providing guidance on disposition of that material.
  • Reviewing aged inventory with Sales on a regular basis to help make correct disposition decisions
  • Working closely with Manufacturing Planning to attain uninterrupted supply for key customers.
  • Ensuring all significant customer information is completely and effectively communicated through the correct channels.
  • Proactively working to streamline processes and systems to ensure first class customer service.
  • Working with a long-term perspective to address customer’s needs.
  • Collaborating with Global Operations teams, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Storage Business Unit teams, and Corporate allocation teams, and others


Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • The ability to be a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • The business acumen to achieve tactical goals and see opportunities for operational excellence within your position.
  • The ability to work cross functionally and lead via indirect influence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • The ability to comfortably give presentations to large groups.


Education:

Minimum of a BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Math or Statistics

Preferred is a MS in one of the above fields
