The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Director of Football Operations for The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics- Football. The Assistant Director of Football Operations performs a variety of day-to-day responsibilities in support of the Football Program. The position reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Football Operations and is assigned by the Head Football Coach to perform duties within the football program’s operations department.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Resolves through effective communication with the Associate Athletic Director of Football Operations, and the Head Football Coach any problems encountered.
- Assists with Team travel coordination.
- Provides oversight with Gameday setup and operations.
- Preforms administrative functions assigned by the head coach.
- Assists with Special event planning and operations.
- Assists with Bowl Game planning and operations.

- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, and approximately three years of administrative expreience.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, follow up and follow through.
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality a must. Knowledge of the Big Ten Football Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, particularly in regard to recruiting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, Access & Internet Explorer.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel, when necessary, to sites throughout New Jersey for business demands.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Internet browsers, and use of athletic vehicles (vans, etc.).
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
