We are providing a leadership opportunity to the “right professional” who shares our passion for supportive care to our older adult residents at Washington’s unique licensed assisted living community.
Our Assistant Community Director is primarily responsible for consistently strengthening and leading our capable and compassionate caregiving team. That Team proudly practices a “resident directed care” approach in service to our seniors while they “age in place” in a residential long term care setting rather than face unnecessary and premature placement in nursing home institutional care. Our entire care approach is aligned with the principles older people so benefit by in their own home, they serve as our four-word Mission:
“Independence, Privacy, Dignity, Choice.”

As our Assistant Community Director, you would be trained to lead:
· Daily hands on care delivery to all of our residents across all three shifts;
· Help recruit and train our caregivers in our unique service and care philosophy;
· Assist in the care planning process with residents, fellow team members, and families so that each resident has an individual customized plan of care;
· Participate in a weekly interdisciplinary Care Team meeting that reviews, revises, and plans our residents’ service and care;
· Lead all of our caregivers and Community staff in personal care, nursing tasks, dining services, housekeeping services, and activities in a manner that provides superior service and provides our residents an outstanding quality of life while avoiding nursing home placement;
· Help our Community comply with all assisted living license regulations in order that Hawthorne Woods continues its stellar inspection record; and
· Proudly lead one of the best assisted living caregiving teams in the Commonwealth.
