Position Summary:

Provide administrative support to the VP, Regional Director of Sales. Role model and demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.

Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Model “Customer 1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail for VP, Regional Director of Sales
  • Compose letters, memos and reports, as required
  • Facilitate effectiveness of departments by anticipating and providing for organizational and administrative needs
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for VP, Regional Director of Sales and Regional Supervisors
  • Answer telephones as well as back-up “must answer” lines for customers and stores
  • Process check requests and code invoices for processing
  • Maintain schedule for VP, Regional Director of Sales and Regional Supervisors
  • Assist with research and special projects as assigned
  • Prepare and send out monthly reports
  • Manage Mystery Shop access, send updates and track trends
  • Verify compliance of all stores and regions with company directives
  • Develop and manage sales contests
  • Keep track of VP tours and follow up with findings
  • Verify that new associates are trained in Customer First principals in a timely manner
  • Process expenses and reconcile period Corporate Visa Statements for Vice President and regional supervisors
  • Print departmental Profit &Loss reports each period
  • Knowledge of Corporate Relocation program and facilitate all necessary paperwork
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years administrative assistant experience; documentation and operations experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime on a rare basis
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
  • 4,000 SPH ten-key by sight
  • 60 WPM typing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
