Senior Project Manager – Precious Metals Extraction

NorthWest Metals Group is a new initiative by the Global Frontier Group to locate and develop exceptional mining opportunities globally. NMG specialises in the eco-friendly metals driving change globally. These are the metals that are increasingly essential for the important technical advances that will power an advanced, smart future.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Project Manager on the ground in the Denver/Idaho region of US. With an extensive mining industry background, you will have the proven ability to excel in the following areas:

• Building and managing a great team
• Precious metals and extractive processes
• Running a site
• Networking and relationships within the industry (including sponsors and stakeholders and external agencies – suppliers, customers, government).
• Technical expertise to analyse testing results
• Working with Legal and Procurement Management
• Ensuring work is performed in compliance with internal processes and the appropriate external laws and regulations
• Participating in decision making, determining best decisions at critical points in the major project
• Providing leadership in project planning and scheduling and project risk management
• Providing leadership in monitoring and reporting project progress, highlighting variances, and identifying corrective actions.
• Keeping complete records to support all project requirements and avoid the negative consequences of contract disputes.
• Ensuring project control, monitoring & assistance until all project objectives are complete
• Coordinating between internal & external resources to effectively execute projects in proper sequence and timing.
• Monitoring productivity and manpower planning; identify deviations from plan, taking appropriate action to bring project back on track.
• Being able to provide updates and detail to senior management and external investors
