About the role:

We are looking for an experienced on-site Scrum Master to lead and coach our software development teams. The selected candidate will be responsible for delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring the team is working on the right tasks at the right time, while will be an absolute stakeholder in the quality of product/features delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to build a great product.
  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline, coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Locating gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks and guiding the team on their resolving.
  • Assessing and improving the Scrum maturity of the team in order to reach higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
  • Facilitating getting the work done without dictating the work.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication in order to improve transparency.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on maintaining the product backlog.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering/Computer Science field.
  • Ruby on Rails experience is a must
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks
  • Knowledge of software development
  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was applying Scrum.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Required software product development experience
  • High level of attention to details

Bonus:

  • Amazon API MWS experience is a plus.
  • Scrum master certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year

Experience:
