JOB POSITION SUMMARY
The self-motivated Scrum Master will guide the team in applying Agile practices, principles and values. This individual will be responsible for supporting the team as they develop features and iterations, maintain the Agile framework and ceremonies, and developing and delivering a client experience that is innovative and exceptional.
Role & Responsibility:
- Keep the flow of execution on track including checking in with each team member on a regular basis and providing value to the team as needed
- Lead all Agile ceremonies, including quality of story creation, effective retros while having a constant focus on improving the team
- Partner with Product Owners on product backlog maintenance and refinement and ensure there is full comprehension by the technical team of all product stories
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments
- Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised by any team member
- Help guide the team and organization on how to improve Agile practices and values to increase productivity and overall team satisfaction
- Support teams in their Agile transformation and coaching them to higher levels of maturity
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency of information
- Ensure full comprehension by the engineering teams of all product stories during scoping and ideation phases
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Scrum Master experience
- Knowledge of Agile delivery and Agile practices
- Development background and proven ability to deliver technical change projects in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with software collaboration and time management tools
- Organized and driven to achieve results
- Certification from tier-1 institution (Scrum Alliance, SAFe, etc.)
- Advanced time management and analytical skills
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Self-motivated, willing to step up and help out in any way
