The Director of Sales Talent Development supports the strategy, development and execution of the ADT Business plan and human capital strategy for sales channel(s). He/she must be adept at building engagement and alignment through strong people leadership, including exceptional talent development, and effective written/verbal communication and collaboration. He/she will collaborate and input with other Field Sales Directors, Sales VP and functional leadership to support growth and development of regional sales teams. Primary focus will be to serve as champion of all related efforts, and to lead and execute the Talent Development functional area. This responsibility encompasses the strategic design of strategies and tactics, that will be consistently executed across the ADT Regions. In addition to the above, this individual will author the ADT Playbook for effective and efficient delivery of successful tactics within this area of Field Sales Talent Development. In addition to the functional accountability, they will also support and lead the Sales Performance in a collaborative effort with the Field AGMs and BGMs. Accountability and ownership to Controllable Performance in the Self Gen and Close ratio metrics are essential within their area of responsibility.

Position Responsibilities:
Functional

Assigned function focus area: Field Sales Talent Development. Establish a culture of leadership development leading to breakthrough performance. Collaborate with RVP/AGM to teach, coach, mentor as requested. Approve all sales manager hires/terms. Cascade, review and sign off on quarterly OKR’s. Collaborate with Talent acquisition on hiring needs. Develop and create 2019 talent development playbook.

Assigned region: TBD

Align regionally and have full accountability/execution for Functional area of focus and Regional responsibilities. Functional area time allocation at 60% and Regional time allocation at 40%, respectively.

Responsible for supporting and implementing national strategic initiatives (playbook) across regions for accelerating growth through employee engagement by acting as strong collaborator to AGM’s/BGM’s and mentor to sales managers and supporting/conducting rep enablement and onboarding activities.

Advocate operating efficiencies and dynamics for successful sales programs and processes. Conduct field visits and business reviews. Evaluate profitability and recommend alternative market approaches to improve profitability and enhanced Field Self Gen initiatives. Ensures consistency in field sales process/ lead management, and SGL activities as defined by Consumer Sales leadership

Monitor performance (analytics, opportunities, production reporting, etc.) and apply analytical approaches to find solutions to problems and create greater efficiencies and growth within the channel(s). Leverage analysis through business scorecards to identify opportunities to improve operational performance and process capabilities.

Act as Subject Matter Expert and liaison to Marketing/Sales Support/Finance corporate departments towards ensuring proper build out and launch of initiatives.

Collaborates with assigned region and the other business units/functions to deliver monthly sales Budgets and the best solutions to our customers to increase acquisition, decrease attrition, reduce Subscriber Acquisition Cost (SAC). Travel for in-person meetings with employees and partners to lead, support and improve Financial performance. Leadership

In conjunction with AGM/BGM support, develops and executes a strong talent management plan including talent assessment, selection, empowerment, coaching, motivation and retention of top talent; builds and develops succession plans and pipeline of talent.

Cultivates employee engagement and positive employee relations environment through robust and regular employee communications, performance feedback, reward and recognition culture, and focused employee development.

Employs a diverse and creative communications framework to align employees and generate understanding and commitment to achieving the business plan for respective RVP customers. Management

Partners effectively across Residential and Small Business Operations (Install, Service, Admin) to ensure effective delivery of all services in customer lifecycle (e.g., installation, maintenance, repair). Effectively solves problems or issues related to broader customer service challenges.

Ensures compliance and the highest ethical standards in all processes.

Creates the vision and fosters a culture of accountability for implementing actions that support customer service excellence.

Advocates and ensures corporate programs and initiatives are executed effectively and in alignment with ADT corporate strategy. Metrics 1st year sales rep Attrition Mgr. Attrition % SR’s >100% to quota attainment

Education:
4-year college degree in business administration, marketing, sales or other related field of discipline or equivalent experience Experience:

Minimum 8 years of sales and sales management experience

At least 3 years of experience in key leadership sales or marketing roles

Strong Team player with excellent Collaborative working style

Excellent communication Skills both Written/verbal

Proven successful track record in similar sales and marketing programs

Assessing, coaching, and developing talent and managing multi-disciplinary organizations

Establishing business direction and executing strategy development and implementation

Leading a significant business unit of similar size; scoping, designing, and implementing business solutions to build/grow a market

Influencing business decisions in a highly matrixed organization
