BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage technical projects within the Application Solutions portfolio. Leads technical and business teams through Planning and Analysis phase, prepares/delivers project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources as needed. Reviews status of projects with all key stakeholders, manages budgets/actuals, manages schedules, risks and prepares communications and status reports. Assesses issues and develops solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and be able to work seamlessly in a team environment.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 8-10 year work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- Experience in leading the day-to-day aspects of large, complex projects consisting of many team members and senior level stakeholders
- Responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation, execution, control and completion of project deliverables ensuring consistency and compliance with the IT Project Management Office
- Experience working with business customers to understand and capture project scope, requirements, goals and objectives
- Extensive experience in identifying and managing business and IT stakeholders to design a solution and establish associated project timelines and budgets
- Able to drive execution and provide direction and oversight throughout the project lifecycle to meet applicable business requirements and business success criteria
- Experience developing project plans and determining resources needed to meet requirements
- Able to identify and manage project risks and document solid risk mitigation plans
- Experience ensuring that proper development and change control processes are followed
- Intimate knowledge of project management tools and procedures
- Familiar with ITIL Service Management concepts and able to integrate and use Project Management methodologies.
- Expert in use of standard office software (MS Office, Visio, Project) and reporting applications
- Strong leadership & interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead cross functional teams and adapt leadership style for the situation
- Outstanding written/verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, proactive and able to work independently
Preferred Skills and Education
- Demonstrate success at delivering medium – large IT projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and training
- MS Project and MS SharePoint in a server environment
- Experience implementing and using Agile framework
