You will interact with our clients and project teams, leverage your business and technical skills, discuss solutions with team members, and analyze client needs to develop important solutions. Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a delivery Project Manager leading implementations with State or Federal government health services contracts. This candidate will be an established project manager with operational credibility and experience in the areas of implementing business service operations and leading efforts that bring best possible products to the marketplace.
The Project Manager will have responsibility for all aspects of project management including establishing relationships, building plans, developing consistent governance and management processes, driving results within the contracted scope and managed budget expectations, and ensuring quality and value are delivered efficiently to the client.
- Establish transition teams at the beginning of a new contract with efficiency and clarity for the client
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the client’s leaders and project teams
- Gain agreement and establish client management and governance procedures to be followed throughout the engagement
- Establish and manage the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution and completion of the implementation projects and on-going operational services
- Deliver results with efficiency, quality, and customer value; measure and report results to the client and to internal stakeholders
- Engage client and internal stakeholders to manage budgets, risks and timely resolution of issues
- Ensure in scope deployments are completed on time and per contract requirements
- Ensure operational services are delivered with quality and within KPI and SLA requirements
- Seek ways to continuously improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency with the client
- Prioritize multiple demands and ideas based on available resources and client commitments
- Support decisions and act quickly and effectively to sustain progress
- Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teams in a complex work environment
- Lead the implementation of products including business services and technology platforms, and new products and services under development or enhancement
- Foster and support business development opportunities while engaged with the client
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency with operations similar to Ohio, a large provider management organization of a similar size to ODM, or an organization of comparable size implementing information technology projects
- A minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in project management for implementation of information systems
- Experience maintaining visibility on day-to-day activities with project teams and ensuring sufficient relationships with key stakeholders
- Successful track record of delivering programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality and on benefit
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
- Demonstrated experience partnering with stakeholders (client and internal) to ensure the proper plan, alignment, integration and visibility
- Proven skills as a project manager while being a team player with a strong ability to form working professional relationships
- Demonstrated experience leading, managing and mentoring junior team members
- Skilled in communications (both verbal and written) and conflict management
- Understanding of Federal/CMS/State regulations, requirements, and processes
- Experience engaging in government RFP responses and SOW activities
- Willingness and ability to travel as required up to 75%
- Previous experience in the healthcare operational services industry
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency with operations similar to Ohio, a large provider management organization of a similar size to ODM, or an organization of comparable size implementing information technology projects
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years related experience
- Certification in Project Management, preferably from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Knowledge of Project Management standards and best practices including the PMBOK
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience serving as a consultant to government clients
- Prior success leading programs / portfolios of $20M+
- Advanced industry degrees or MBA
- Previous Health and Human Services (HHS) experience in public and/or private sector (Medicaid-focus)
