Functions of the role include:
Analyze costs, trends, and other payment data to find ways to reduce merchant fees and other acceptance costs while identifying opportunities to improve business processes
Maintains subject matter expertise in traditional and emerging forms of payment and makes recommendations to leadership that will improve Deltas payment offerings.
Assists with vendor negotiations and contracting. Maintains relationships with merchant acquirers, processors, card networks, banks and other business partners.
Participates in industry events and maintains good working relationships with Deltas airline partners.
Keeps abreast of changing card network rules and regulations while ensuring key internal stakeholders are updated on changes that impact them.
Develops deep expertise of payment acceptance processes and IT infrastructure
Partners with multiple functions and stakeholders including Global Distribution and Digital Strategy, IT, third party vendors and other internal departments to deliver payment related projects, including a multi-year IT payment infrastructure project.
Supports the Payment, Processing, and Reporting function by providing payments expertise and project management support for Treasury led payment projects and system enhancements.
Manager – Treasury, Global Payment Acceptance
Global Payment Acceptance is a key function within Deltas Treasury organization with responsibility for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve Deltas payment-related offerings and/or reduce cost of acceptance across Deltas $40B+ revenue base.
