About the Role
We are looking for a leader to build and lead our Global Ops Industrialization organization and realize its global mandate. This team is the linchpin connecting our Operations Engineering, Software and Hardware Product, and Local Operations teams to enable a scalable and financially viable business. This global team is tasked with driving the strategy and roadmap to design, implement, sustain, and continuously improve our ground operations, namely maintenance and repair of vehicles both in the warehouse and in the field. The Head of Operations Industrialization will represent the business needs and priorities, ensuring effective lines of communication between the cross functional teams, creating the mechanisms to escalate and prioritize key operational needs for product development, and organizing effective global implementation of the most optimal operation. This role will work closely with the senior leadership of the Hardware product, Software product, Operations Engineering, and Operations teams. A passion for empathetic leadership and learning is a must. This role needs to have solid foundations in people and organizational management and communication with a broad range of audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Define and lead the vision, overall goals, strategy, and roadmap for the Ops Industrialization team
- Hire, manage, coach and develop a team of highly effective, incredibly smart, passionate and diverse people – championing our culture and employee brand
- Partner with the head of Operations Engineering, head of Fleet Operator Software Product, and Central Operations leads to deliver on the aligned strategy
- Ensure functional stakeholders are aligned on key objectives and plans for implementation, product development, and rollout
- Inform the roadmap for Operations Engineering and Local Operations by prioritizing critical business needs through a strong partnership with local and central Operations teams and using data-driven insights to identify opportunities
- Develop the training mechanisms and evangelize lean operations through heavy focus on training and development of the broader operations team
- Develop deep functional expertise and build long term capabilities needed for the business to ensure its profitability and growth
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial or franchise operations leadership; Experience leading large teams
- Prior experience in an industrialized setting and interacting with an industrial workforce
- Prior experience in Hardware and Software product development
- Passion for engaging senior stakeholders and leading and working with cross-functional groups
- Demonstrated ability to use data to help solve business problems
- Outstanding team management, development and coaching appetite and ability
- Bias to action—willing to travel frequently to visit warehouses and move quickly to maximize the impact of industrialization for the broader JUMP operations organization
- Experience with data-based decision-making, exercising good judgement in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
