QUALIFICATIONS:

Individual must possess Marketing background. Minimum of three (3) years experience in marketing and recruiting for a long term care facility and/or other agencies. Individual should have prior experience serving as a liaison between families, healthcare professionals and administration.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must have the ability to seek out new methods and strategies and be willing to incorporate them into existing admission/marketing principles
  • Must have flexibility and be willing to work with a team orientated concept
  • Must deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, healthcare professionals and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable with computers
  • Must be able to follow instructions, both written and verbal
  • The Director of Sales and Marketing is subject to frequent interruptions, works beyond normal working hours on weekends/holidays, and other shifts or positions when necessary.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary function of this position is to facilitate the recruiting of new residents, obtain required information used to initiate and complete the admission process for residents and do so in an effective manner. Monitor and maintain professional facility contacts and residential inquiries by way of database tracking system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete initial intake forms for potential residents
  • Obtain required information needed to admit residents in a time efficient manner
  • Home visits and telephone calls to potential residents to determine proper qualifying factors
  • Interview and recruit new residents
  • Develop and maintain professional contacts by all means, including but not limited to visiting, mailings, telephone calls, and in-services
  • Maintain database of facility contacts and resources
  • Develop and utilize creative functions, activities, and tactics that will prove as effective marketing tools for the facility
  • Attend specific senior functions and council meetings that will enhance the span of our marketing horizon
  • Serve as liaison between residents, their families, and the facility during the admission process
  • Provide tours of the facility to inquiring visitors
  • Maintain a resident waiting list and follow-up with all potential residents
  • Assure that any acquired documentation is forwarded to proper staff upon the admission of a new resident
  • Notify all Department Supervisors when there are scheduled tours or admissions
  • Promptly report any admission problems to the Director
  • Orientate residents regarding established policies and procedures
  • Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary to assure that the needs of the facility are met
  • Communicate effectively with all personnel and other Department Supervisors
  • Collaborate and assist resident recruitment staff to develop, implement, and analyze the strategies that promote the census goals
  • Maintain, follow up, and submit a contact visitation calendar with a minimum of 20 weekly visits
  • Submit all marketing materials and updated information to the Director for the weekly marketing meeting
