About You:
We’re looking for a highly experienced government contracting expert to manage and administer our growing number of government research contracts and funding awards (e.g., grants and cooperative agreements). We also have a growing number of agreements with universities, nonprofits and for-profit companies.
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing U.S. Government R&D contracts and research funding.
Specific expertise, includes:
- Expertise in developing budgets for grant & contract proposals to the US Government
- Expertise in pre- and post-award negotiations with Government contracting officials
- Experience in negotiations of forward pricing rates and final overhead rates
- Experience in the preparation and negotiations of Government awards and subawards, either independently or in collaboration with attorneys
- Experience in monitoring internal and sub-contractor performance for compliance with contractual requirements
- Knowledge of relevant FARS/DFARS regulations and requirements
- Familiarity with IP issues (e.g., Bayh-Dole) and legal requirements (e.g., MTAs) surrounding government research awards and inter-institutional collaborations
- Experience closely managing multiple awards in parallel, including monitoring delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements
