Job Description:
Primary roles and responsibilities will be to work with the Partners to support the launch of Grindstone Communication Solutions. The Director will be responsible for setting a positive office culture in a fast pace, high pressure environment. The Director will work with the Principal to recruit, train, and manage a large team of dialers, including managing work schedules, on-boarding and off-boarding, overseeing payroll and ensuring high quality outreach and communications.

GFS Director Duties:

  • Manage the Grindstone Communication Solutions office
  • Recruit and train staff
  • Oversee payroll and ensure operations are in accordance with the California Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Provide progress reports on strategic goals and organizational/advocacy activity daily
  • Track and monitor data for quality and trends of interest

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two cycles of campaign staff experience
  • Experience managing or working with an auto-dialer or professional phone bank
  • Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple priority projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to execute strategic goals and think creatively to solve staffing and workload challenges
  • Experience with voter software, such as PDI or VAN preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work long hours in a high‐stress environment
  • Must be available through November 2020

Compensation:
$60,000 – $72,000, vacation and bonus opportunities available
