Our Baltimore office is currently seeking an Architect Project Manager to join our Aviation team. In this role as an Architect Project Manager, you are accountable for the management of aviation projects from concept through design and construction. Some of the duties/responsibilities for this role include:
- Manage design consultants
- Prepare Scopes of Work (SOW) for specific tasks
- Review price proposals to ensure compliance to the SOW and budgetary requirements.
- Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration,
- Ensure the design idea is consistent and properly executed.
- Responsible for technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project.
- Checks completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for accuracy.
- Leads the project kick-off meeting in conjunction with the Project Manager ensuring that a full
- Interactive planning session is held with all key discipline leads and consultants on the project. .
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire Project team.
- Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure
- Incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
- Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards.
- Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline group designers that affect the specific project design.
- Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
- Develops a positive relationship of trust with clients and other project leadership.
- Regularly communicates with client representative to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Arts/ Science in Architecture required
- Masterâs in architecture preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience, Aviation experience is plus
- Understanding of local building codes including
- Knowledge of construction drawing standards
- Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail and highly organized.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task.
- Working towards licensing within 2 to 4 years
