This role manages all aspects of our accounting and finance functions. The winning candidate will be our resident expert in their area with high attention to detail and process.
We use the latest version of Quickbooks Enterprise and need someone with expertise using it.

NOTE: 6 to 8 weeks of paid time off? To compensate for some heavier hours during our two month season, we offer an aggressive company holiday schedule that includes 15 paid days off per year plus 2 weeks of vacation. Last year, on top of that we awarded 17 bonus paid days off to all employees. However, our team earns it by working heavier hours during the selling season including some evenings and weekends (primarily June/July & December/Jan).
Major Responsibilities
- ***Must have proficient in Excel and Quickbooks***
- Managing the daily operations of the accounting department
- Analyzing accounting data produce financial reports and statements
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods and policies
- Create weekly Cash Flow report for CEO and Board of Directors
- Closeout monthly and EOY financials
- Will help write SOP in different areas for the company
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide input to leadership regarding business strategy
- Manage the accounting department and assist in completing our:
- month and end-year process and P&L creating
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll and utilities
- Treasury
- Budgeting and cash forecasting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets reconciliations
- fixed asset activity
- debt activity
- Produce financial statements
- establish and enforce proper accounting policies
- Coordinate annual audits/Reviews with attestation firm
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Tax obligations
- Manage operational aspects of company real property
- Company credit card operation
- Develop and operate company insurance coverage
- Identify areas in which to reduce expenses
- General oversight of onsite HR (through our contracted PEO)
Ideal Candidate
- Ability to make decisions of a somewhat risk-oriented nature in their area of expertise
- Direct, factual no-nonsense communication style
- Very highly detail-oriented with a focus on accountability and correctness
- Willing to be a player-coach with leading a small team
- 5-years work experience including time spent in a management role
- High level of proficiency and previous experience with Quickbooks
- Will embrace using and helping us implement technology as it relates to our accounting functions

- Accuracy of financial records
- On-time delivery of financial statements
- On-budget performance by the company including reduction of expenses
