Eaton’s Vehicle Group ($3.2B in 2018) provides automotive and commercial vehicle manufacturers worldwide with products and systems that are designed to improve a vehicle’s overall efficiency, performance and power – such as emission control components, engine valves, valvetrain systems and superchargers – as well as offering driveline expertise through its transmission, clutch and torque management products and systems. This position is reporting directly to the Vice President, Manufacturing Operations of the Vehicle Group, the Vice President, Supply Chain Management will be responsible for being the global champion to continuously improve change management practices to efficiently achieve optimized total cost of delivery for both raw and finished goods in support of the group’s business and manufacturing strategies. Charged with managing a multi-million direct and indirect spend (Global Spend $1.3B and Supplier Count >2,000) the Vice President, Supply Chain Management will provide strategic leadership, vision and organizational structure to all supply chain efforts regarding the development, coordination, and deployment of integrated materials management, procurement, supplier development, and program management activities. The successful incumbent will promote strong partnerships between the various manufacturing sites and core suppliers in their region to maximize spending leverage while creating synergistic efficient supply chain relationships.
The candidate will work closely with executive leadership regarding commodity strategy, sourcing, and risk management for the supply base in support of both current and new product development. They will have a team of 60+ direct and indirect reports and work across 36 key manufacturing sites across the globe. The selected incumbent and their respective teams will ensure that there is timely execution on all initiatives and proactively work toward resolution on projects that are behind schedule to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Additionally, the Vice President, Supply Chain Management, will:

Partner across the supply chain organization on various initiatives both domestic and global in scope.

Responsibility for the commodity strategy, strategic sourcing, and risk management for the supply base in support of both current product and new product development through program management activities to ensure that the total lowest landed cost is achieved through the replenishment process

Establish a broad functional competency through the deployment of an integrated supply chain model.

Ensure that there is timely execution on all initiatives and proactively work toward resolution on projects that are behind schedule to meet customer expectations.

Consistently develop strong personal relationships with staff in all facilities and locations across Vehicle Group.

An undergraduate degree with an emphasis in supply chain management, engineering, and/or business required. An MBA or advanced degree in supply chain management or related field is highly preferred.
