JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Business Development is a leadership role to assist in the development of the new business for Boeing EnCore Interiors (BEI). The successful candidate will need to create a business plan and execute on that plan to generate profitable sales opportunities for BEI.

BEI’s goal as part of Boeing’s Cabin Vertical group is to grow and scale the business. One of the key targets is the galley business where we would like to capture a majority of the overall market. The candidate will be responsible to follow the development of that product (currently in design), create a strategy to differentiate BEI from the competition and create/negotiate proposals to win new business.

BEI will also be involved with other interior products to increase and expand Boeing’s overall interior capability and product offering. The candidate will be involved in creating strategies and executing plans to increase revenue and earnings in those areas as well.


SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Develop a product strategy addressing target products and product customizations
  • Create a product roadmap to bring the product from inception to delivery and potential future development
  • Complete a market analysis with potential customers
  • Develop a clear value proposition for how BEI will differentiate itself
  • Assist in developing a business and manufacturing plan
  • Develop a marketing strategy and product unveiling at The Aircraft Interior Expo
  • Assist in the entry to service of the first of model components

The Vice President of Business Development will need to interface closely with engineering and certification to ensure best in class product development and create the short term and long-term goals of BEI. He will work with the sales staff to ensure engagement with key customers and report directly to the CEO. As this is a dynamic role with challenging market conditions his roles and responsibilities will evolve over time.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • A four-year college degree (Bachelor’s degree).
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience.
  • Extended or irregular hours may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. For positions at an ITAR facility, must have U.S. Citizenship or hold Permanent Resident status.
