JOB SUMMARY:
The VP of Brands & Concepts is responsible for supporting RFP and other Food & Beverage development projects to help maximize real estate value and co-ordinate the timely delivery of new projects. This involves local market and product research, the management and development of specific Airport and brand relationships, and co-ordination with D&C and other relevant departments. Additionally the role involves several commercial aspects of the sub-tenant relationships including day to day operations, contract compliance, rent collection and relationship management. This is a senior management position, reports to the SVP, Food & Beverage, and will have Brand Managers reporting to them.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain relationships with designated Airports to ensure we understand and respond to their needs, and that they understand the opportunities we can bring to them
- Maintain relationships with designated brand partners to deliver site-specific developments and maximize growth opportunities
- Work with all relevant stakeholders to evaluate and deliver specific RFP’s and other relevant retail opportunities
- Contribute to review and discussion of best solutions to commercial challenges on space, profit and brand mix
- Research local markets as required – for vendors, brands, products and pricing benchmarks in anticipation of up-coming RFP’s
- Ensure all brand permissions are documented and agreed in a timely manner
- Work with D&C as required to ensure appropriate and in budget execution of builds in line with brand and airport requirements
- Direct and manage the best use of all leased spaces and maintains brand relations for future development
- Ensure appropriate documents are in place to deliver all sub leases and contracts on time
- Serve as direct link to sub-tenants and partners through day to day operations and facility development process
- Be part of the overall F&B executive team in determining the overall direction of the Division.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Deep understanding of a wide range of F&B operations
- Have managed over $40M of traditional or non-traditional Restaurant business
- Requires experience in teambuilding and collaborative projects
- Requires ability to travel; position requires approximately 50-75% travel
- Requires excellent project management and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Requires experience interacting with executive levels and the ability to work without supervision on specific assignments
- Requires strong technical oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration; MS, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Requires knowledge of financial tools and concept profitability and understanding and use of market research and market trend information
