Key Responsibilities:
- As part of commercial leadership team, develop and execute the launch strategy for two indications for Tazemetostat in a 12-month period which have very different patient populations and target customers.
- Oversee Tazemetostat brand marketing, marketing operations and market access marketing functions to ensure brand launch success.
- Build, mentor, coach, motivate, oversee, and lead the marketing team while fostering a highly collaborative culture and serving as a leadership role model within the organization.
- Achieve sales targets for Epizymeâs products: successfully execute on strategy & tactics
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership, management and communication skills to inspire commercial team members to achieve high levels of performance.
- Identify & build marketing capabilities in alignment with the organizationâs short term objectives as well as the long-term vision.
- Support development of tazemetostat lifecycle management strategies as well as new product development opportunities for Epizyme in alignment with Corporate strategy.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape a customer centric culture that puts the patient first within the commercial organization and beyond.
- Partner closely with sales, market access, business insights & analytics, and medical affairs leadership along with other key stakeholders to develop and execute on aligned strategies to meet overall brand objectives.
- Partner with Corp Affairs and Advocacy to effectively introduce Epizyme as an epigenetics leader and specialty drug development player.
- Partner closely with business insights & analytics team to understand sales trends and identify strategic opportunities for growth.
- Ensures that all promotional activities and related communications and programs are in full compliance with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Company guidelines.
Education & Requirements:
- BA/BS degree, MBA preferred; plus 15+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience preferably in US oncology/hematology, specifically lymphoma. Global strategic marketing experience a plus.
- Proven track record of successful launch experience, preferably in oncology/hematology.
- Experience in startup environment.
- Excellent organizational awareness including savvy in developing effective cross-departmental relationships.
- Proven track record of success in strategic agility and thinking; business acumen, and innovation.
- Experience in building or contributing to organizational transformative change and corresponding infrastructure.
- Strong oral / written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build a high-performing team and culture.
- Maintains the highest level of integrity and acts in accordance with company compliance / legal guidelines at all times.
- Position based in Cambridge, MA.
- Travel requirement estimated at 40%.
