Position Responsibilities:


Learning and Development:

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to build organization learning and development roadmap based on training needs; set annual priorities for departments and key roles. Assist managers in developing training plans for each position.
  • Create engaging learning experiences to include micro-learning for individuals and teams; create a learning platform that empowers employees to own their individual career development.
  • Plan a calendar of training programs for staff to utilize to improve soft skills, gain knowledge of the organization’s culture, and administrative procedures, or acquire business knowledge relevant to the organization’s lines of business.
  • Select, implement, and regulate a learning management system.
  • Curate and build catalogue of learning offerings, maintain training database, and develop learning programs for all employees. (Shadowing, Business Orientation meetings, etc.)
  • Manage and expand existing employee development programs (High Potential, Book Club, etc.)
  • Form and maintain partnership with a key strategic eLearning and other vendors to deliver professional and compliance training. (Preventing Workplace Harassment, Interviewing, Employment Law for New Managers, Diversity & Inclusion, lynda.com etc.)
  • Work with HR Business Partners to develop and update career continua for all departments.
  • Expand the onboarding process and new employee orientation to include employee value proposition and increase business acumen.
  • Develop orientation and training plans for newly acquired businesses and joint ventures.
  • Potentially create and manage a learning committee to inform learning strategy and planning. Form a clear development partnership model with each division and identify key contact for each role type to determine technical training needs.
  • Maintain transparent measures for programs and assess ROI.
  • Plan and manage the training budget. Approve and track expenditures. Identify opportunities for savings for group training and certification.
  • Support company-wide 10-week summer intern program.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Diversity & Inclusion:

  • Organize and articulate corporate inclusion vision; team with D&I Task Force, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Legal, Investor Relations, and other stakeholders to build, brand, and strengthen corporate inclusion commitment
  • Recognize and respond to organizational diversity needs, issues, and initiatives with appropriate diversity and inclusion tools, strategic assessments/metrics, best practices, training, and benchmarking to support the needs of the organization.
  • Constantly assess opportunities to drive D&I priorities through ongoing business and HR processes and initiatives.
  • Identify and develop ERG groups within the organization that will foster a supportive work environment, in addition to championing existing initiatives (Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce, Women’s Initiative, Working Parents, others).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 10 + years of progressive HR and training experience.
  • SPHR or PHR a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate potential situations, resolutions, and departmental needs.
  • Developed comfort interfacing with all levels of internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to use sound judgment to take action with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Developed understanding of inclusion and welcoming values; vision to lead inclusion commitment with transforming energy.
