Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire and train the sales force and any support staff ensuring that each individual receives the approprioate training for thei skill level
  • Supervise the sales department staff paying special attention to the flow of customers to the salespeople including “ups”, appointments, phone inquiries, and general showroom control
  • Maintain control of the sales process including providing additional expertise as needed for the sales force
  • Obtain monthly sales goals from GSM/GM, monitor success of attainment of goals
  • Develop marketing strategies to increase sales and gross profit using advertising, promotions and sales incentives
  • Maintain internal control over the vehicle inventory to prevent theft, vandalism and lot damage
  • Develop a customer retention program that includes a follow-up of prospects and a flow of sold customers to the service department
  • Control expenses for the sales departments paying special attention to gas expense, reconditioning and advertising
  • Ensure that retail cars are processed through the Service Department to meet the Auto Group’s standards
  • Manage used car inventory to 90 days or less while maintaining minimal wholesale loss
  • Purchase used cars based on the Auto Group’s standards and ethics
  • Ensure on-going training for used car sales for sales staff
  • Ensure personal continuing education in prodcut knowledge and management skills
  • Take an active role in both Corporate and Community activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Education
  • 2 years prior experience as New Car Manager
  • Prior F&I Experience preferred
  • Sales Licnese Issued by Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission
  • Valid Driver’s License
