Description

Completion & Production Solutions (CAPS) is seeking a strong scrum master to join our Customer Experience Product Team in Houston, Texas. The Scrum Master will be responsible for coordinating scrum ceremonies for multiple geographically dispersed teams working on the Customer Experience Product Backlog.

The Scrum Master will be responsible for

  • Facilitating a cross functional agile collaborative team in iterative technology development including: Managing stakeholder expectations regarding target scope, schedule and budget.
  • Removing impediments that hinder project progress.
  • Facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and iteration meetings.
  • Monitoring the progress of the sprint.
  • Helping teams estimate iteration deliverables and increase velocity.
  • Managing development tracking system to include product and sprint backlogs.
  • Promoting continuous communication.
  • Improving transparency within the team.
  • Guiding and coaching the team to become self-organized.
  • Monitoring and helping improving team dynamics.
  • Motivating and acting as the glue that holds the team together.
  • Subject Matter Expert for agile methodologies and practices.
  • Guiding and coaching the team and organization to follow Agile/Scrum practices
  • Building a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be managed in a healthy way without fear of blame.
  • Supporting and coaching the Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices.


Qualifications

  • Experienced in a ScrumMaster role for at least two years for a software development team.
  • Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership.
  • Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
  • Extensive problem analysis and resolution, impact verification, troubleshooting, coaching, and facilitation experience.
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
