What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
TITLE: Project Manager
EMPLOYER: Hudson Products Corporation- Beasley, TX
DUTIES: Plan, organize, and direct the work of 15-20 projects simultaneously in coordination efforts of various engineering functions and client requirements. Analyze purchase orders and strategize the best approach with the client representative. Target and isolate potential problem areas, and develop solution plans. Review cost estimates and schedules. Maintain coordination with the engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel to assure timeliness, efficiency, and high quality of work. Review and monitor monthly schedules, budgets, and operating reports for the proposed projects. Prepare invoice requests in a timely manner and expedite receipt of invoice payments from clients. Act as a liaison with client representatives to assure projects are progressing satisfactorily. Maintain and update project files on current projects. Advise the client of the most advantageous approach to achieving project goals. Influence client decisions while adhering to best engineering and manufacturing practices. Review work to ensure company standards of excellence and compliance are met, along with client requirements. Review designs for the most cost-effective means of fabrication, and ensure timely shipment of products.

Your Education Should Be…

Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + 2 years of experience in engineering, designing, or manufacturing of air-cool heat exchangers. In lieu of master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + 2 years of experience in engineering, designing, or manufacturing of air-cool heat exchangers, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + 5 years of experience in engineering, designing, or manufacturing of air-cool heat exchangers.


Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
Must have experience with: API 661 and 614 industry standards; ISO 13706; ASME section VIII, Div. 1 Appendix 13 for pressure vessels; NEMA and IEC industry standards for motors; troubleshooting performance issues (including fit-up, excessive vibration, noise problems, leak and insufficient cooling); completing 6-8 projects per month; reading and interpreting customers’ design engineering specifications and drawings. Prior experience must include: 2 years of experience in Air cooled heat exchanger’s manufacturing processes, including welding procedures including MTIG, SAW, and GMAW; 2 years of experience in Air cooled heat exchanger’s manufacturing processes, including inspection procedures used including Magnetic particle testing, Liquid penetrant testing, Ultrasonic testing, Hardness testing and Factory Acceptance test; and 2 years of experience using HTRI-XACE to determine the following: row-pass configuration; size; number of tubes; air flowed required; size and type of fans; and motor selection.
