Big Picture View
You will hold a critical role in our company by being part of a high-performing, service-oriented Order Management team that has an impact on the growth of Flinn. You will work closely with your team members to ensure customer orders from all contact channels including phone, fax, email and mail orders are entered timely as well as guiding the team in resolving customer questions associated with order fulfillment. You will have a direct influence and ability to make a difference within the science community as our organization continues to grow.
The Order Processing Manager â Day-to-Day:
- Manage Order Processing department according to established goals and procedures.
- You will oversee daily order/work volume and monitors daily workflow of assigned staff.
- Assist staff in resolving or solving problems relating to the order processing system and procedures.
- Interface on a regular basis with other department managers to make sure staff members correctly process special, quote and rush orders.
- You will identify and implement ways to improve the overall efficiency and quality of Flinn’s order entry process.
- Provide written and oral instructions to staff, assigns duties and projects, expedites workflow and reviews work for accuracy and conformance to Flinn’s policies and procedures.
- Train staff members on how to efficiently and effectively perform their jobs.
- Study and standardize procedures and make recommendations to improve efficiency of team and department.
- Prepare and analyze management reports as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

- You are a great communicator both verbally and written and are comfortable communicating with individuals at all level of the organization.

- Excel in making appropriate judgments considering alternative courses of action.
- Control costs through expertise, implementation and development of Flinn’s order processing policies and procedures and the efficient use of time, equipment and personnel.
- You originate and develop constructive, creative ideas.
- Establish strategic plans in a proactive manner; able to see the big picture
- You act as a champion of the culture display high standards of professionalism and is loyal and dedicated to the organization.
- Display and build high motivational level and enthusiasm within staff members.
What You Need to be Successful
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university with appropriate business course work including management courses; and three or more years related office administrative/management experience desired. However, additional management experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
