We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our rapidly expanding new office in Doral. This is an established market leading company for the last 25 years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day floor operations and materials movement to assure that daily and weekly production and shipment schedules are completed and Product Kanbans are maintained.
- Ensure all regulations are followed including ITAR and US Customs, OSHA, ISO and other regulations.
- Assist in the development and sustainment of Continuous Improvement (CI) and standardized work initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kanban and Single Piece Flow principles.
- Organize physical layout and use of resources to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse and production efficiency
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Collaborates with all departments to enhance quality of service to Customers with special focus to on-time delivery and product quality.
- Identify gaps in current operations processes, develop work instructions and train personnel in processes.
- Establish and monitor Kanban levels to support Sales Forecast and Sales Orders.
- Work with sales and customer support to process RMAs in a timely manner.
- Resolve supplier issues, maintain supplier inventory, and transfer materials.
- Work with Sales to resolve sales order and customer issues.
- Coordinate inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy to goal.
- Work and communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external personnel.
- Coordinate and track work flow and priorities for operations team and sales department. Report all issues and information to department leads and sales department to avoid delays and quality failures.
- Incorporate and drive safety culture within the organization. Ensure all work is done in a safe manner and support the Safety Program.
Qualifications:
Minimum
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in directly related position.
Skills:
- Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
