OVERVIEW

Providing agreed upon services to the customers of the Shared Service Center and continuously maintaining alignment with the corporate strategy. The Team Leader participates in process analysis, best practice identification, process design, and implementation planning. Assist in organizing team tasks, ensure full participation, structure the team, and keep the team on track.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquire and apply various team-based methods and tools
  • Track and document team’s productivity and results
  • Ensure SSC is in compliance with regulatory requirements including but not limited to: HMDA, RESPA, Reg Z, Reg B, Fact Act, and Safe Act.
  • Ensure SSC is in compliance with all Agency and Customer requirements
  • Ensure that work plans match and meet targets
  • Help to establish targets for cost / service level controls
  • Help to generate process improvement ideas
  • Manage conflict resolution process within team, initiate escalation process
  • Ensure all parts of the process run smoothly
  • Maintain awareness of each team member’s abilities
  • Conduct and follow-up team meetings
  • Communicate with facilitators / managers
  • Act as a mentor to new team members
  • Continue to function as a team member
  • Other various duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA in Finance, Operations, or Management or equivalent experience
  • Typically five or more years of experience in all aspects of residential mortgage with specific focus in closing and post-closing activities related to both conventional and government products
  • One to three years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws related to originating residential mortgages.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of FNMA DU, FHLMC LP, and related secondary market underwriting guidelines
  • Prioritize workload based on mandatory requirements and member service level agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit
