Job Overview

A Lead Carpenter/Project Manager must be organized, a self-starter, and observant of details. They will perform a wide range of tasks for both residential and commercial clients. The ability to work as a team or independently is essential.

Abilities Needed:

  • You must be able to perform a full range of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and general construction jobs from start to finish.
  • You must be able to manage a crew while maintain a positive work environment that motivates team members to work with efficiency and excellence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must live in Hampton Roads or surrounding area (45 minutes from Smithfield, Virginia).
  • Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
  • Have your own cell phone
  • Proven experience as a carpenter
  • Willing to work indoors, outdoors, tight spaces, and in all types of weather
  • No fear of heights and the ability to work at heights (fall protection provided)
  • Ability to regularly lift or move objects up to 80 lbs. without assistance
  • Organized and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Drug free and willing to submit to drug intoxication testing
  • Able to pass background checks for military base access

Compensation / Pay and benefits:

Up to $20/hr.

40+hrs./week with weekly pay check

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour

Experience:

  • relevant: 10 years (Preferred)
  • carpentry: 5 years (Required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
