Under the leadership of the IT Director, the IT Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of resources necessary to ensure successful, on-time completion of complicated deployments. This includes not only infrastructure tasks, but also the creation of new software products. Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a must. The IT Project Manager must be able to focus on business strategy and agility and not on technology for technology sake.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.
  • Manage conflict within group.
  • Coordinate with in-hours Business Analysts.
  • Efficiently identify and solve project issues.
  • Demonstrate leadership to define requirements for project risk.
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services.
  • Coordinate with Knowledge Systems Management Specialist.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing, coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.
  • Agile certification highly preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
  • Familiarity with a variety of technical platforms/methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
  • Expertise in efficient time management and deadline driven accountabilities.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Successful track record of managing enterprise software development projects a must.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL or ITIL Foundation v3 certification preferred.
