We are looking for a dedicated Hockey Portfolio Manager who will uphold our core values while delivering exceptional services to our Hockey division. The Hockey Portfolio Manager will be responsible for building a new tournament model for LGS and managing the events. They will start at least 8 new tournaments from September – December 2020, determine the proper locations of these new events (ideally new markets for LGS) and work with CVB’s and Sports Bureau’s to help with financing of new locations. Additionally, they will manage the events and utilize the Tournament Checklist to ensure proper execution of these events and will be responsible for Sales of each event and attaining/beating budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel
- Attend certain events to help manage the event and or oversee the success of the event
- Some travel expected for new site visits
Communication
- Communication with customers in regards to the events
- Communication with the Marketing Department in regards to Social Media content and website changes required.
- Communication with LGS Hockey Regional GM’s on event programming for the purpose of cross sales.
- Weekly meetings with Hockey Director
Sales
- Networking the hockey world to help fill these events.
- Keep our CRM (HubSpot) up to date in regards to Sales and network/connectors. Create deals and follow up tasks as required.
Event Management – Tournaments
- Recruit teams to attend
- Manage all logistics to ensure a successful event
- Management of the event in our backend system
- Responsible for financial success of your events
- Communication to our customers on a timely basis (within 24 business hours)
- Maintain our CRM Records (HubSpot)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in ice hockey in some capacity.
- Verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work well with others; Organization; Problem solving; Conflict Resolution; Professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Hubspot CRM knowledge is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, great work ethic, and a passion for hockey.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.
- Need to have passport updated for international travel.
