The Information Products and Data Sciences (IPDS) group in NX is driven to maximize the impact and value to NIBR of software and data. Job Description:
As the Head of Data Sciences in IPDS, you will run a team that provides data analysis collaborations to drug discovery teams in NIBR through development and application of new quantitative methods, advanced applications of our scientific software products, and through continual improvement of NIBR scientific data and metadata. You will also identify opportunities to automate data analysis and to make NX products more effective and powerful through application of machine learning and analytic methods.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Increase impact of and access to NIBR data analysis capabilities
- Support NIBR drug discovery programs through innovative advanced data analysis
- Manage a team of 15 associates
- Increase the quality, usefulness and value of NIBR data
- Increase the impact of NX products
- Support adoption and advanced usage of NX products

Minimum requirements
- A PhD in data science, computational chemistry, computational biology, statistics or related field
- Ten years or more of experience as a data scientist, computational chemist, computational biologist, statistician or related field
- Five years or more of experience in drug discovery or a core supporting scientific field.
- Proven experience in team building and mentoring
- A track record of impactful data analysis results
