Position: Finance/Accounting Manager

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (***Must Be a Local to the Greater Phoenix-Area, AZ***)

The Finance/Accounting Manager for this Digital Marketing firm in Scottsdale, AZ, will be supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. You also administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance and 401(k) plan. You’ll collaborate with our teams in Scottsdale as well as the teams at our headquarters in Chicago. You’ll definitely be doing a little bit of it all, finance-wise, but we still focus on providing a good work-life integration for our team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Planning, implementing and overseeing overall accounting strategy
  • Overseeing accounting daily operations
  • Taking responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity, collections etc.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
  • Setting up and monitoring accounting KPIs
  • Regularly producing financial reports, royalty reports and statements
  • Adhering to proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Performing and overseeing annual audits
  • Meeting financial accounting objectives
  • Preparing year-end Accounting & Tax data for review, compilation & financial statement & tax return preparation by outside Accountants
  • Maintaining a confidential file of employee records and benefit accruals for earned vacation and personal time.
  • Performing administrative & trustee duties for 401(k) Plan
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly & annual Salesperson Commission Reports from detailed computer reports and audit.
  • Preparing and maintain the Pay-For-Performance Program on a quarterly / annual basis for overall Corporate criteria and specific Departmental criteria which provides a basis for quarterly/ annual payouts to qualified personnel.

Skill and Experience You’ll Need To Have:

  • 5 years of Senior Accounting Specialist/Accounting Manager experience
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
  • Proficient Great Plains accounting software,
  • Full charge bookkeeping skills through Financial Statements.
  • Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker with solid problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
