We are a mission focused organization that believes that investing in education is investing in the future. From our earliest days, we have devoted ourselves to educational opportunity and achievement. We have promoted innovation, equity and excellence for generations of students. We are advocates for children and parents; we empower teachers and educators; and we are a strong presence in thousands of schools and communities across the country through programs and services – the SAT, Advanced Placement (APÂŽ) and Pre-AP are just few. Our work falls broadly into four categories: College Readiness, College Connection & Success, Student Opportunities and Advocacy.
Named by Fast Company as one of the most innovative education companies, the College Board is a mission-focused organization. This job requires a strong focus on improving educational opportunities and outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged students, in the context of a competitive business environment.
The College Board, the national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Director/Senior Director, Strategy and Analysis in the Learning, Evaluation, and Research (LEvR) division. This position can be based out of the New York, NY office.
About Learning, Evaluation and Research (LEvR)
The LEvR division is made up of three teams including:
Access Learning Lab: partners with College Board Research to test creative solutions to address access barriers and identify solutions for implementation across the organization.
Psychometrics & Research: Designs, conducts, and manages research and statistical analysis efforts to support various Higher Education programs, most notably the SAT suite of assessments.
Learning Engineering: The Learning Engineering team is charged with drawing upon the best available learning-related research to support the continuous improvement of our programs, and to design and test new tools and methods for improving student performance in our courses and assessments. Whereas the evaluation of learning interventions often ends after “does it work?”, this team goes further to figure out “how can it work better?”
