Position Title: Director of Technology

Position summary: The Director of Technology is responsible for leading technology improvements. The Director will lead all aspects of technology and provide leadership for developing, enhancing and maintaining GFMâs IT Infrastructure. The Director will collaborate with department heads and other organizational leaders to comprehensively understand organizational work and strategy to effectively create an aligned IT strategy.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership and functional business leaders to understand their strategic direction and capabilities critical for success, and implement the appropriate governance, prioritization and an effective sponsorship of IT initiatives.
- Define the strategy, policies and plans to implement and maintain all Systems, Applications, and Network components.
- Define the technology roadmap and manage day-to-day IT operations and execution of key initiatives in support of the business strategic plan.
- Strong, hands-on team leader who will attract, retain and mentor a high performing collaborative IT organization. Oversee hiring decisions, performance appraisals, and employee development. Actively coach and mentor IT team to higher levels of performance. Build and maintain a high performing IT team.
- Seek and evaluate emerging technologies and educate business leaders on potential for new technologies to deliver ROI by enabling business innovation, efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Enhance the use of existing technologies and drive scalability and stability.
- Drive and sustain operational excellence and IT service levels.
- Develops and manages operating and capital budgets for the IT department.
- Implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues.
- Oversee the technological infrastructure in the organization to ensure optimal performance
- Direct and organize IT-related projects
- Negotiate vendor contracts/manage key strategic vendor relationships.
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of technology experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience developing and executing IT strategy and transformation projects
- Implementing and working in Cloud/SaaS technologies a must.
- 3-5 years Salesforce CRM experience. Certifications preferred.
- Salesforce Service cloud and field service lightning experience preferred
- Lightning conversion experience preferred
- Informatica or other middleware experience required
- Ability to multi-task and manage across multiple projects in various stages
